Operator and scope

Additive Lens is operated by individual developer Deng Kang. Contact the operator at dengkang336@gmail.com. This draft describes the proposed data practices for the US Android app and this informational website.

The website has no contact form, advertising, analytics, tracking cookies, marketing pixels, or cross-site tracking.

Account and service providers

We retain necessary account identity associations, free or membership allowances, membership status, and payment-verification records to provide the service.

Sign-in services may involve Google, X, and TikTok. Google Play processes subscriptions and payments; we do not receive payment-card details.

Scan processing

The planned app flow uses on-device Google ML Kit OCR to read ingredient-list text. Ingredient photos are not intended to leave your device.

Temporary OCR text is sent to the Additive Lens backend only for the current matching request and deleted when that request succeeds or fails. We do not keep scan history, ingredient photos, OCR originals, or recoverable complete analysis results.

Requests, hosting logs, and children

You can request access to or deletion of applicable account data by emailing dengkang336@gmail.com. We may retain information when and to the extent required by applicable law or necessary to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.

A hosting provider may create necessary hosting access logs for security, abuse prevention, and troubleshooting. The provider, processing region, and actual retention period must be specified before publication; this draft does not promise a fixed log-retention period.

The app is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided account data, contact us so that we can review the request and take steps required by applicable law.
